Tropical & Jungle Wall Murals

(26 products)

Run a jungle scene floor to ceiling and it takes over a room — green and depth wrapping the walls instead of a motif tiling across them, which is why restaurants, sunrooms, and bold living rooms reach for it. The designs here work in a few registers: dense jungle landscapes with parrots or a lion, oversized palm and banana-leaf graphics, misty rainforest and grisaille waterfall scenes, and quieter tonal palettes for a softer version of the look.

Each wall mural is printed as one continuous composition, then divided into panels based on the wall dimensions so the artwork aligns seamlessly across the full wall. Choose removable peel and stick for a home or rental install or paste-installed Traditional Type II for a restaurant, bar, or hotel — all made to order in Davie, Florida with water-based, GREENGUARD Gold certified inks. If you'd rather run a repeating leaf pattern across several walls, the tropical wallpaper and jungle wallpaper collections cover that, and the full wall murals range holds every other scenic design.

Tropical & Jungle Mural Styles

Tropical and jungle murals range from dense, layered landscapes to cleaner palm compositions and quiet tonal scenes.

Jungle scenes with animals. Dense foliage with parrots, lions, or other wildlife creates a layered landscape with a lot of visual detail. Viewing distance changes how the scene reads: from farther back, the composition is easier to take in as a whole, while closer viewing brings the individual foliage and animal details forward.

Palm and banana leaf. Oversized palm fronds and banana leaves create a more graphic composition, ranging from saturated greens to neutral, tonal, and metallic palettes. They give a room a tropical botanical look without relying on a literal jungle landscape.

Rainforest and landscape. Rainforest depth, misty palms, and a grisaille waterfall act as scenic backdrops with a sense of distance. The softer, tonal versions sit more quietly than a high-contrast jungle print.

Tropical botanical. Looser, garden-style tropical foliage overlaps with our botanical wallpaper range; the mural versions here are produced as a continuous composition rather than a repeating pattern.

Where a Tropical Mural Works

A tropical or jungle mural works best when enough of the composition stays visible to read as one scene. Behind a sofa in a living room, a dining table, a bed, or a console, check how much of the lower wall the furniture will cover and where the main foliage, animals, or landscape details will sit. Sunrooms and entryways can also take a large tropical composition when the wall has enough uninterrupted space.

Tropical murals can also work well in hospitality interiors such as restaurants, bars, and hotel lobbies, where a large scenic wall can help establish the visual character of the space. For a commercial install the material has to meet the project's requirements, which the materials section below covers.

Manufacturer tip: A jungle or tropical mural often has focal elements — a parrot, lion, particular palm, or the crest of a waterfall. Before ordering, mark the height of the sofa, console, or headboard on the wall and check where those elements will fall. Once the mural is sized and produced, their position is part of the composition.

Choosing a Wall, Scale, and Color

A tropical mural is a scene, so wall choice comes first. Start by looking for a wall with enough uninterrupted space for the scene to read clearly; windows, doors, shelving, and tall furniture can divide a continuous composition into smaller sections. Measure the full wall, width and height, including the area behind furniture, so the scene is sized to the space.

Viewing distance changes how the mural reads. Dense foliage and larger elements are easier to take in as a complete composition from farther back, while a wall viewed mostly at close range makes the individual details more prominent. For a narrow or interrupted wall, check how much of the main composition stays visible rather than relying on a large-pattern-versus-small-pattern rule.

Deep greens and dark grounds carry more visual weight and make the wall more prominent, while neutral, tonal, and grisaille palettes create a quieter overall effect. Order a sample to judge the dominant colors, the surface texture, and how the greens read against your furniture and finishes, in daylight and evening light, before you commit.

Peel & Stick vs Traditional Type II

Every mural in this collection is available in all of our material options.

Peel and stick is self-adhesive and installs on a smooth, clean, properly painted, fully cured wall. We make it in Smooth Vinyl, with a semi-gloss finish, and Canvas, with a matte woven texture; both are removable. EazzyWalls currently recommends allowing newly painted walls at least eight weeks to cure before installation.

Traditional Type II is paste-installed and commercial-grade, tolerates slight wall texture that peel and stick does not, and is Class A / Class 1 fire rated (ASTM E84). For a restaurant, bar, hotel, or other commercial space, Traditional Type II may be appropriate where a commercial-grade wallcovering is required; confirm the project's own fire and building requirements before specifying a material. The commercial Type II wallpaper collection covers those uses.

Tropical & Jungle Wall Murals FAQ

Are tropical wall murals available in Peel & Stick?

Yes. Every EazzyWalls tropical and jungle mural is available in both Smooth Vinyl Peel & Stick and Canvas Peel & Stick. Smooth Vinyl has a semi-gloss finish, while Canvas has a matte woven texture; both are removable and require a smooth, clean, properly painted, fully cured wall.

What are common mistakes when choosing a jungle wall mural?

One of the biggest mistakes is choosing the design before checking how furniture, doors, windows, or shelving will affect the composition. A sofa, console, or headboard can hide an animal, waterfall, or other focal element, so measure the wall and mark furniture height before ordering. Also consider viewing distance and check the dominant colors in both daylight and evening light.

What’s the difference between tropical wallpaper and a tropical wall mural?

A tropical wall mural is one continuous composition printed across multiple panels, so the foliage, animals, or landscape forms a single scene across the wall. Tropical wallpaper uses a repeating motif that continues from panel to panel, making it easier to wrap around corners and cover several walls. Murals are generally used when you want one wall to carry a larger scenic composition.

What are some good tropical wall mural ideas?

Popular directions include layered jungle landscapes with wildlife, oversized palm or banana-leaf compositions, rainforest and waterfall scenes, and quieter neutral or grisaille tropical designs. The best option depends less on the room size than on how much uninterrupted wall is visible, where the furniture sits, and how much contrast you want the mural to have.
