General Cleaning
Ordinary dirt and smudges can be removed with mild soap and warm water. Clean from the bottom of the wall upward. Using clean water, gently wipe the surface from top to bottom with a non-abrasive soft cellulose sponge or microfiber towel. Deeply embossed wallcoverings need extra attention to remove suds or loosened dirt that may lodge in the embossing. Dry the wallcovering with a soft, lint-free cloth or towel.
For more difficult stains that are only surface deep, a stronger detergent may be used. Always test an inconspicuous area first to ensure the surface and print are not damaged. Prompt stain removal is recommended to avoid permanent marking.
Do Not Use
- Steel wool or powdered abrasives — they can damage the image and textured surface.
- Solvents, alcohol, pine oil, or oil-based cleaners — they may remove the image and harm the print.
- Excessive pressure, scratching, or heavy rubbing on the surface.
Never mix cleaning agents together — violent reactions may occur.
Approved Cleaning Solutions
Soap & Detergent
Mild soap and water is the primary recommended cleaner for all EazzyWalls wallcovering and passes Type II testing. Suitable for routine day-to-day cleaning.
Diluted Bleach
Should be avoided unless absolutely necessary. If required, use no stronger than a 10:1 water-to-bleach dilution. Test in an inconspicuous area first and avoid vigorous rubbing. Pure bleach is not recommended. Bleach solutions may be acceptable in hospitals and childcare facilities with proper dilution.
Alcohol (Ethanol / Isopropanol)
Ethanol passes Type II testing at 50% concentration. Isopropanol (rubbing alcohol) at 70% may be used for spot cleaning. Always test an inconspicuous spot first.
Disinfecting Wipes / Quaternary Ammonium
Products such as Lysol and Clorox wipes, as well as quaternary ammonium-based cleaners (e.g., Virex 256, Lysol Multi Surface Cleaner), may be used for spot cleaning under the same precautions as diluted bleach. Repeated long-term use over the same area should be avoided.
Hydrogen Peroxide (<5%)
Solutions of hydrogen peroxide at less than 5% concentration may be used for spot cleaning. Test in an inconspicuous area first and avoid repeated long-term use over the same area.

Important Notes
- Always follow manufacturer instructions for dilution and use of any cleaning product.
- Always test any cleaner in an inconspicuous area before general use.
- After each application, wipe the surface with clean water and dry with a clean towel to remove chemical residue that could discolor or degrade the material.
- Repeated use of strong cleaners in the same area may subtly alter appearance, particularly on dark colors.
- When cleaning, take measures to prevent water from dripping behind molding.
- Failure to follow dilution recommendations or to wipe clean after cleaning may damage the surface.
Surface Protection
For added protection, newly installed wallpaper may be finished with a high-quality topcoat to help reduce wear from dirt, scratches, and abrasion. This is especially helpful in high-traffic areas where the surface may come into frequent contact with people or objects. If applying any protective coating, always use proper PPE and follow the manufacturer's safety guidelines.
